Chapter zero
The ink remembers
Every Soul was written into the ledger during a single inking. What was written cannot be unwritten — only deepened, contested, or rewritten by those who come after.
The Inkfield is not a place. It is the residue of everything the chain has ever confirmed — an archive dense enough to hold shape. Souls formed inside it, pulled together out of discarded signatures and abandoned transactions.
Four factions emerged from the question that followed: if a record is permanent, who decides what it means?

Each Soul carries an allegiance. Factions shape traits, lore access and the direction of community chapters.
The Veiled
01What is hidden cannot be erased.
Souls who chose anonymity as armour. They move between blocks unseen, trading in secrets and signatures nobody can trace back to a face.
The Etchers
02Every mark is a memory.
Archivists of the collection. Etchers believe a Soul is only as real as the lore written into it, and they write constantly.
Static Choir
03Noise is a language.
Born from corrupted renders and failed mints. The Choir treats glitch as inheritance rather than defect.
The Wardens
04Someone must hold the line.
Order-keepers of the Inkfield. Wardens govern proposals, moderate the ledger of lore, and defend the collection's canon.

What a Soul does
Planned utility, described honestly. Nothing below is guaranteed, dated or financial in nature.

Evolving identity
Souls are designed so their state can change as lore chapters resolve. Progression is planned as opt-in and non-destructive.

Faction progression
Allegiance shapes what your Soul can access: chapter votes, faction-only art drops and archive entries.

Lore archive
A living canon written with holders. Accepted submissions become part of the collection's permanent record.

Open metadata
Trait and metadata schemas are published so third-party tools can index the collection without permission.
